At the end of 2010, there were 439 manufacturers of wet tissue paper registered by the Household Paper Professional Committee of China Paper Association, an increase of 42 over the previous year. The manufacturers are mainly distributed in Zhejiang, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Fujian, Shandong, Liaoning and Beijing. And other places, but the national brand, however, the market concentration is relatively high. There are many companies that do OEM for other domestic companies or retailers or produce OEM products for foreign countries.
In 2010, the Household Paper Professional Committee of China Paper Association recorded six varieties of wet wipes: ordinary, baby-specific, women-specific, make-up remover, other personal use, and wet wipes. Among them, ordinary wet wipes accounted for about 28.6% of the sales volume, wet wipes for babies accounted for about 42.0%, wet wipes for women accounted for about 8.4%, wet wipes for makeup removal accounted for about 3.6%, and wet wipes for other personal uses accounted for about 3.6%. Accounted for 5.5%, wet wipes accounted for about 11.9%. The packaging forms of wet wipes on the market mainly include single-piece packaging (independent packaging), multi-piece packaging, and simple packaging. The functionality of wet wipe products has been increasing, and various skin care ingredients have been added, such as aloe vera, green tea, lavender, mint, etc. Some companies further subdivide wet wipes into various functional special products according to their uses.
After they are launched in the domestic market, the sales feedback is very good. In 2010, Tongling Jieya invested in the construction of the largest functional wet tissue paper production base in Asia in the Shizishan Economic Development Zone of Tongling City. After the completion of the project, the theoretical production capacity of wet tissue paper will be 7 billion pieces per year. Jiangzhong Pharmaceutical entered the field of wet wipes. In August 2010, the production project of Ruijie brand disinfection wet wipes independently developed by Jiangzhong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. started construction in Yugan Industrial Park, Jiangxi Province.
